SATURDAY February 15th
BASE MECHANICS   8am - 1pm
Hosted by FCLL  (Marshal Park)

The session is geared towards the base umpire on the 60 foot Little League diamond. Instruction includes the basic signals, positions, footwork, responsibilities, and concepts such as "read - react - adjust".

Students should wear comfortable clothing and must wear closed toe shoes (tennis shoes or turf shoes).

SATURDAY March 1ST
ADVANCE BASE and PLATE UMPIRE MECHANICS   8AM - 3PM
Hosted by NCLL  (Vallejo Mills Elementary School)

This session is for students intending to umpire behind the plate. Topics include "the slot" and proper stance, tracking the pitch, and movement after the ball has been put into play. This is an excellent introduction for new plate umpires and a great refresher course for the veteran umpire.

Students should bring their own plate gear (mask, chest protector and shin guards).
